Ultimate Library Release Notes

Ultimate Library provides cataloging of all your CD's, DVD's, tapes and books, all in one self contained application.  The interface is made up of two parts, the Library Index and the Item Details.

The library index allow the user to scroll through the items they have entered in to the library.  The tabs along the top allow the user to segment the library into logical groupings.

• Music - CDs, Tapes
• Movies - Commercial movies on DVD, VHS and other tape formats
• Home Movies - User's own home movies VCDs, SVCDs, DVD, VHS and other tape formats
• TV - Recordings from the TV on VCDs, SVCDs, DVD, VHS and other tape formats
• Fiction - Stories/Novels in books form and on CDs and tapes
• Non-Fiction - Text books etc. in books form and on CDs and tapes
• Talk - Vocal recordings such as comedy on CDs and tapes
• Applications - Software and data on CDs etc.
• MSDN - Microsoft Developer Network CDs and DVDs
• Search - Future.

We will be updating documentation in the future but for now you will have to explore to discover all the applications functionality.  Please let us know of any problems and interface improvements we can make.

Future Enhancements

We have many enhancements planned for the future.  Some will also find there way into our other product :-).

• Movie and TV program details linked from Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com)
• Movie, Music and Book details linked from Amazon.com
• Import of TV program details from UltimateGuide 

• Configuration of import limits, library catalogs etc. are not enabled in this version.
   

• MSDN index import is limited to latest XML MSDN index format which started 4/1/2001.  Older version of index based on ADO database is to be incorporated in a future release.
   

• Threading needs to be enabled for some portions of program so at the present time the interface may take some time to redraw during high activity.  This is mainly a problem when performing Library of Congress and other public library queries.
   

• Error checking is a little weak so cryptic error messages may be encountered. Make sure you let us know about them at support@trimind.com .
